Winnies Holiday Resort - A Disappointing Experience

My recent stay at Winnies Holiday Resort was plagued by numerous issues that significantly diminished the overall experience. While the food quality was satisfactory, the problems encountered overshadowed any positive aspects. Firstly, the cleanliness standards were unacceptable. We discovered cockroaches and worms in the bathroom, which is inexcusable for any accommodation establishment. This raises serious concerns about the resort's maintenance and hygiene practices. The staff's inconsistent communication regarding water bottle charges added to the frustration. Initially, they stated that 500ml water bottles were complimentary, but the next day, they claimed that all water bottles would be chargeable. Such contradictory information is unprofessional and creates unnecessary confusion for guests. Furthermore, the resort's policies on consuming one's own drinks were overly restrictive. Guests were prohibited from enjoying their beverages in common areas and were required to purchase drinks from the resort, even in their rooms. The lack of variety in beer options, with only Kingfisher Premium available, was disappointing. The resort's unwillingness to accommodate visiting friends or allow them to join for drinks was another significant letdown. Denying guests the opportunity to socialize with their acquaintances in a reasonable manner is highly discourteous. Moreover, the lack of shower facilities near the pool area was an inconvenience, as was the prohibition on consuming food poolside. These seemingly minor issues compounded the overall unsatisfactory experience. While the food quality was commendable, it fails to compensate for the numerous shortcomings encountered during our stay. Winnies Holiday Resort needs to address these issues urgently to improve guest satisfaction and uphold basic standards of hospitality. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Winnies Holiday Resort based on my recent experience. The resort's management needs to prioritize cleanliness, consistent communication, guest-friendly policies, and overall hospitality to provide a better experience for future visitors.
